As of 1 July 2008, the maximum penalty against a corporation for breaches under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 is now $1,020,780. The maximum penalty for an individual is now $204,156. VECCI provides various training courses to ensure OHS compliance.

VECCI has introduced evening and Saturday classes for certificate and diploma programs. The programs have been designed to provide access for those who find it difficult to attend programs scheduled during business hours.

The after hours program commences at 5pm and concludes at 9pm. Saturday school commences at 9am and concludes at 4.30pm. Lunch and/or dinner and refreshments are provided.
